KPO Family Concert

One of our missions, is to encourage young musicians to further their studies and interest in music. As one of the season offerings, the KPO frequently performs one concert that is geared towards young people. The KPO chooses music that would appeal to a young audience, as well as playing some arrangements of orchestral music that are playable by younger players. Some of the KPO Family Concerts in the past have included music such as Haydn's Toy Symphony, Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals, as well as playing Suzuki-style music for the young string players who line up on the front of the stage to play their beginning pieces.
